And how do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul in the process? Is anything worth more than your soul? Mark 10:28-31 Jesus replied, "I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News, will receive now in return, a hundred times over, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property—with persecutions. And in the world to come they will have eternal life. But many who seem to be important now will be the least important then, and those who are considered least here will be the greatest then."

Then you will stand outside knocking and pleading, `Lord, open the door for us!' But he will reply, `I do not know you.' You will say, `But we ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.' And he will reply, `I tell you, I don't know you. Go away, all you who do evil.' "And there will be great weeping and gnashing of teeth, for you will see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets within the Kingdom of God, but you will be thrown out. Then people will come from all over the world to take their places in the Kingdom of God. And note this: Some who are despised now will be greatly honored then; and some who are greatly honored now will be despised then."

As Lazarus lay there longing for scraps from the rich man's table, the dogs would come and lick his open sores. Finally, the beggar died and was carried by the angels to be with Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried, and his soul went to the place of the dead. There, in torment, he saw Lazarus in the far distance with Abraham. "The rich man shouted, `Father Abraham, have some pity! Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in anguish in these flames.' "But Abraham said to him, `Son, remember that during your lifetime you had everything you wanted, and Lazarus had nothing. So now he is here being comforted, and you are in anguish. And besides, there is a great chasm separating us. Anyone who wanted to cross over to you from here is stopped at its edge, and no one there can cross over to us.' "Then the rich man said, `Please, Father Abraham, send him to my father's home. For I have five brothers, and I want him to warn them about this place of torment so they won't have to come here when they die.' "But Abraham said, `Moses and the prophets have warned them. Your brothers can read their writings (God's Word) anytime they want to.' "The rich man replied, `No, Father Abraham! And the world will be as it was in the Days of Lot. People went about their Daily Business—Eating and Drinking, Buying and Selling, Farming and Building— until the morning Lot left Sodom. Then Fire and Burning Sulfur rained down from Heaven and destroyed them all. Yes, it will be 'Business as usual' right up to the hour when the Son of Man returns.”
Luke 18:9-14 THE RELIGIOUS PHARISEE & THE DISHONEST TAX COLLECTOR - Jesus told this story "Two men went to the Temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a dishonest tax collector. The proud Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer: `I thank you, God, that I am not a sinner like everyone else, especially like that tax collector over there! For I never cheat, I don't sin, I don't commit adultery, I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income.' "But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow, saying, `O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner.' I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God. For the proud will be humbled, but the humble will be honored."

"How can an old man go back into his mother's womb and be born again?" Jesus replied, "The truth is, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives new life from heaven. So don't be surprised at my statement that you must be born again. Just as you can hear the wind but can't tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can't explain how people are born of the Spirit."
John 3:16 For God so loved the World that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have Eternal Life.
John 3:30 John the Baptist said, "He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less."
John 3:36 He who believes in the Son has Eternal Life; but he who does NOT OBEY the Son will NOT see life, but the WRATH OF GOD abides (remains) on him.

Then Jesus turned to the Twelve and asked, “Are you also going to leave?” Simon Peter replied, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life. John 12:37-43 Despite all the miraculous signs Jesus had done, MOST of the people still did not believe in him. This is exactly what Isaiah the prophet had predicted: “Lord, who has believed our message? To whom has the Lord revealed his powerful arm?” But the people couldn’t believe, for as Isaiah also said, “The LORD has BLINDED THEIR EYES and HARDENED THEIR HEARTS— so that their Eyes cannot see, and their Hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and have me heal them.”

John 15:5-6 Jesus says, “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned."
John 15:8-9 Jesus says, “My True Disciples produce much Fruit. This brings great Glory to my Father. I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. When you OBEY MY COMMANDMENTS, you remain in My love, just as I OBEY MY FATHER'S COMMANDMENTS and remain in His love. When you OBEY MY COMMANDMENTS, you remain in My love, just as I OBEY MY FATHER'S COMMANDMENTS and remain in His love. ”

Acts 17:30-31 God commands everyone everywhere to Repent of their Sins and Turn to Him. For He has set a Day for Judging the world with justice by the
man he has appointed (Jesus Christ), and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead.
Acts 18:9-10 One night the Lord Jesus spoke to Paul in a vision and told him, "Don't be afraid! Speak out! Don't be silent! For I am with you, and no one will harm you because many people here in this city belong to me."
Acts 20:21 I have had one message for Jews and Gentiles alike—the necessity of Turning from Sin and Turning to God, and of Faith in our Lord Jesus.
Romans 1:8 Let me say first of all that your faith in God is becoming known throughout the world. How I thank God through Jesus Christ for each one of you.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—Jews first and also Gentiles.
Romans 1:28-32 When they refused to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their evil minds and let them do things that should never be done. Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, fighting, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They are forever inventing new ways of sinning and are disobedient to their parents. They refuse to understand, break their promises, and are heartless and unforgiving. They are fully aware of God's death penalty for those who do these things, yet they go right ahead and do them anyway. And, worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.
Romans 2:4-10 Don’t you see how Wonderfully Kind, Tolerant, and Patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his Kindness is intended to Turn you from your Sin? But because you are Stubborn and Refuse to Turn from your Sin, you are Storing up Wrath (Terrible Punishment) for yourself. For a Day of Wrath (Anger) is coming, when God’s Righteous Judgment will be revealed. He will Judge everyone according to what they have done. He will give Eternal Life to those who keep on doing Good, seeking after the Glory and Honor and Immortality that God offers. But he will pour out his Anger and Wrath on those who live for themselves, who Refuse to Obey the Truth and instead live lives of wickedness. There will be Trouble and Calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is Evil—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. But there will be Glory and Honor and Peace from God for all who do good—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile.
Romans 2:15-16 They demonstrate that God's Law (God's 10 Commandments) is written within them, for their own consciences either accuse them or tell them they are doing what is right. The day will surely come when God, by Jesus Christ, will judge everyone's secret life.
Romans 3:19-20 For the purpose of the Law (God's 10 Commandments) is to keep people from having excuses and to bring the entire world into Judgment before God.
Romans 3:22-28 We are made right in God's sight when we trust in Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, no matter who we are or what we have done. For all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious standard. Yet now God in his gracious kindness declares us not guilty. He has done this through Christ Jesus, who has freed us by taking away our sins. For God sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to satisfy God's anger against us. We are made right with God when we believe that Jesus shed his blood, sacrificing his life for us. God was being entirely fair and just when he did not punish those who sinned in former times. And he is entirely fair and just in this present time when he declares sinners to be right in his sight because they believe in Jesus. Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on our good deeds. It is based on our faith. So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.
Romans 5:8-9 God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
Romans 5:20 God's Law (10 Commandments) was given so that all people could see how Sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God's wonderful kindness became more abundant.
Romans 6:16 Don't you realize that whatever you choose to obey becomes your master? You can choose sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God and receive his approval.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is Eternal Life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. No, I had not known sin, but by the law...
Romans 8:6 To be CARNALLY (Worldly) MINDED is DEATH, to be SPIRITUALLY MINDED is LIFE and PEACE.
Romans 8:8 Those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.
Rom 8:29-30 "For whom God Foreknew, He also Predestined to be Conformed to the Image of His Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many Brothers and Sisters. Moreover whom He Predestined, these He also called (He called them to come to Him); whom He called, these He also Justified (gave them right standing with Himself); and whom He Justified, these He also Glorified (Gave them His Glory)."
Romans 8:37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
Romans 10:13 Anyone who calls on the Name of the Lord will be Saved.
Romans 10:14-21 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"
Romans 10:17 So then Faith comes by hearing, and Hearing by the Word of God.
Romans 11:22 Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe to those who disobeyed, but kind to you as you continue to trust in his kindness. But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off.
Romans 12:2 Do not be Conformed to this World (Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world), but be transformed by the Renewing of your Mind, that you may Prove what is that Good and Acceptable and Perfect Will of God.
Romans 14:10 So why do you condemn another Christian? Why do you look down on another Christian? Remember, each of us will stand personally before the judgment seat of God.
1 Corinthians 1:21 Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never find him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save all who believe.
1 Corinthians 1:27-29 God deliberately chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose those who are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important, so that no one can ever boast in the presence of God.
1 Corinthians 2:9 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
1 Corinthians 3:10-15 Because of God's special favor to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder. Now others are building on it. But whoever is building on this foundation must be very careful. For no one can lay any other foundation than the one we already have—Jesus Christ. Now anyone who builds on that foundation may use gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. But there is going to come a time of testing at the judgment day to see what kind of work each builder has done. Everyone's work will be put through the fire to see whether or not it keeps its value. If the work survives the fire, that builder will receive a reward. But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builders themselves will be saved, but like someone escaping through a wall of flames.
1 Corinthians 6:2-3 Don't you know that someday we Christians are going to judge the world? And since you are going to judge the world, can't you decide these little things among yourselves? Don't you realize that we Christians will judge angels? So you should surely be able to resolve ordinary disagreements here on earth.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Don't you know that those who do wrong will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, who are idol worshipers, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals, thieves, greedy people, drunkards, abusers, and swindlers—none of these will have a share in the Kingdom of God. There was a time when some of you were just like that, but now your sins have been washed away, and you have been set apart for God. You have been made right with God because of what the Lord Jesus Christ and the Spirit of our God have done for you.
1 Corinthians 10:31 Whatever you eat or drink or whatever you do, you must do all for the Glory of God.
1 Corinthians 15:33-34 Don't be fooled by those who say such things, for "bad company corrupts good character." Come to your senses and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don't even know God.
1 Corinthians 15:51-54 - THE RAPTURE - But let me tell you a wonderful secret God has revealed to us. Not all of us will die, but we will all be transformed. It will happen in a moment, in the blinking of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, the Christians who have died will be raised with transformed bodies. And then we who are living will be transformed so that we will never die. For our perishable earthly bodies must be transformed into heavenly bodies that will never die. When this happens—when our perishable earthly bodies have been transformed into heavenly bodies that will never die—then at last the Scriptures will come true: Death is swallowed up in victory.
1 Corinthians 15:57 How we thank God, who gives us Victory over Sin and Death through Jesus Christ our Lord!
1 Corinthians 15:58 Be strong and steady, always enthusiastic about the Lord's work, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
2 Corinthians 2:14 Thanks be to God who always leads us in Triumph in Christ
2 Corinthians 3:16-18 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, then the veil is taken away. Now, the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, he gives freedom. And all of us have had that veil removed so that we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4 If the Good News we preach is veiled from anyone, it is a sign that they are perishing. Satan, the god of this evil world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe, so they are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News that is shining upon them. They don't understand the message we preach about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
2 Cor 4:5 We don’t go around Preaching about ourselves. We Preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are quite small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us an immeasurably great glory that will last forever! So we don't look at the troubles we can see right now; rather, we look forward to what we have not yet seen. For the troubles we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever.
2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in our bodies.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
2 Corinthians 6:2 For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the Day of Salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is NOW. Today is the Day of Salvation."
2 Corinthians 6:4-5 In everything we do we try to show that we are true Ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind. We have been beaten, been put in jail, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, endured sleepless nights, and gone without food.
2 Corinthians 6:8 We serve God whether people honor us or despise us, whether they slander us or praise us. We are honest, but they call us impostors.
2 Corinthians 6:14-16 Don't team up with those who are unbelievers. How can goodness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and the Devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? And what union can there be between God's temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: "I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
2 Corinthians 6:17-18 Come out from them and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Don't touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you. And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.
2 Corinthians 7:1 Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete purity because we fear God.
2 Corinthians 7:10 For God can use sorrow in our lives to help us turn away from Sin and Seek Salvation. We will never regret that kind of sorrow. But sorrow without Repentance is the kind that results in Death.
2 Corinthians 7:9-10 Pain caused you to Repent and change your ways. It was the kind of Sorrow God wants his people to have, so you were not harmed by us in any way. For the kind of Sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from Sin and results in Salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of Sorrow. But Worldly Sorrow, which lacks Repentance, results in Spiritual Death (Hell).
2 Corinthians 8:2-3 Though they have been going through much trouble and hard times, their wonderful joy and deep poverty have overflowed in rich generosity. For I can testify that they gave not only what they could afford but far more. And they did it of their own free will.
2 Corinthians 8:9 You know how full of love and kindness our Lord Jesus Christ was. Though he was very Rich, yet for your sakes he became Poor, so that by His Poverty he could make you rich.
2 Corinthians 9:13 You will be glorifying God through your generous gifts. For your generosity to them will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:3-6 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the Weapons of our Warfare are not Carnal (worldly) but mighty in God for pulling down Strongholds, Casting down arguments (imaginations) and every high thing that exalts itself against the Knowledge of God, bringing every Thought into Captivity to the Obedience of Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:3-6 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the Flesh: For the Weapons of our Warfare are not Carnal (Worldly), but mighty through God to the Pulling down of Strongholds; Casting down Imaginations, and every High Thing that exalts itself against the Knowledge of God, and bringing into Captivity every Thought to the Obedience of Christ.
2 Corinthians 11:23-30 They say they serve Christ? I know I sound like a madman, but I have served him far more! I have worked harder, been put in jail more often, been whipped times without number, and faced death again and again. Five different times the Jews gave me thirty-nine lashes. Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked. Once I spent a whole night and a day adrift at sea. I have traveled many weary miles. I have faced danger from flooded rivers and from robbers. I have faced danger from my own people, the Jews, as well as from the Gentiles. I have faced danger in the cities, in the deserts, and on the stormy seas. And I have faced danger from men who claim to be Christians but are not. I have lived with weariness and pain and sleepless nights. Often I have been hungry and thirsty and have gone without food. Often I have shivered with cold, without enough clothing to keep me warm. Then, besides all this, I have the daily burden of how the churches are getting along. Who is weak without my feeling that weakness? Who is led astray, and I do not burn with anger? If I must boast, I would rather boast about the things that show how weak I am.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 Each time Jesus said, "My Grace is all you need. My power works best in Weakness. So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the Power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my Weaknesses, and in the Insults, Hardships, Persecutions, and Troubles that I Suffer for Christ. For when I am Weak, then I am Strong.
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves to see if your Faith is Genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the Test of Genuine Faith.
Galatians 1:10 Obviously, I'm not trying to be a people pleaser! No, I am trying to please God. If I were still trying to please people, I would not be Christ's servant.
Galatians 2:20 I have been Crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by Faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Galatians 3:24 The law (10 Commandments) was our guardian and teacher to lead us until Christ came. So now, through faith in Christ, we are made right with God.
Galatians 3:11 But that no man is justified by the Law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, the just shall live by Faith.
Galatians 5:16-26 So I advise you to live according to your new life in the Holy Spirit. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves. The old sinful nature loves to do evil, which is just opposite from what the Holy Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are opposite from what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, and your choices are never free from this conflict. But when you are directed by the Holy Spirit, you are no longer subject to the law. When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, your lives will produce these evil results: sexual immorality, impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, idolatry, participation in demonic activities, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, divisions, the feeling that everyone is wrong except those in your own little group, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other kinds of sin. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Here there is no conflict with the law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. If we are living now by the Holy Spirit, let us follow the Holy Spirit's leading in every part of our lives. Let us not become conceited, or irritate one another, or be jealous of one another.
Galatians 6:7 Don't be misled. Remember that you can't ignore God and get away with it. You will always reap what you sow!
Ephesians 2:1-7 Once you were dead, doomed forever because of your many sins. You used to live just like the rest of the world, full of sin, obeying Satan, the mighty prince of the power of the air. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passions and desires of our evil nature. We were born with an evil nature, and we were under God's anger just like everyone else. But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so very much, that even while we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's special favor that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ, and we are seated with him in the heavenly realms—all because we are one with Christ Jesus. And so God can always point to us as examples of the incredible wealth of his favor and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us through Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:8-10 God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Ephesians 3:17-19 I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
Ephesians 4:1-2 Lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be Humble & Gentle. Be Patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s Faults because of your love.
Ephesians 4:17-19 With the Lord's authority let me say this: Live no longer as the ungodly do, for they are hopelessly confused. Their closed minds are full of darkness; they are far away from the life of God because they have shut their minds and hardened their hearts against him. They don't care anymore about right and wrong, and they have given themselves over to immoral ways. Their lives are filled with all kinds of impurity and greed.
Ephesians 4:21-24 Since you have heard all about him and have learned the truth that is in Jesus, throw off your old evil nature and your former way of life, which is rotten through and through, full of lust and deception. Instead, there must be a spiritual renewal of your thoughts and attitudes. You must display a new nature because you are a new person, created in God's likeness—righteous, holy, and true.
Ephesians 4:26-27 Don't sin by letting anger gain control over you. Don't let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a mighty foothold to the Devil.
Ephesians 4:29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give Grace to those who hear.
Ephesians 5:1-2 Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.
Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
Ephesians 5:3-9 Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him. Don’t participate in the things these people do. For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.
Ephesians 5:10-13 Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them.
Ephesians 5:15-17 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.
Ephesians 5:19 Then you will sing Psalms and Hymns and Spiritual Songs among yourselves, making Music to the Lord in your hearts.
Ephesians 5:27 He did this to present her to himself as a Glorious Church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be Holy and without Fault.
Ephesians 6:6-7 Work Hard, but not just to please your masters when they are watching. As slaves of Christ, do the will of God with ALL your heart. Work with Enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
Ephesians 6:10-17 A Final Word: Be STRONG with the Lord's Mighty Power. Put on ALL of God's Armor so that you will be able to Stand Firm against ALL Strategies and Tricks of the Devil. For we are NOT fighting against people made of Flesh and Blood, but against the Evil Rulers and Authorities of the Unseen World, against those Mighty Powers of Darkness who Rule this World, and against Wicked Spirits in the Heavenly Realms. Use EVERY Piece of God's Armor to resist the enemy in the time of Evil, so that after the Battle you will still be Standing Firm. Stand your Ground, putting on the Sturdy Belt of Truth and the Body Armor of God's Righteousness. For Shoes, put on the Peace that comes from the Good News, so that you will be Fully Prepared. In every Battle you will need Faith as your Shield to stop the Fiery Arrows aimed at you by Satan. Put on Salvation as your Helmet, and take the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
Ephesians 6:18-20 PRAY at ALL times and on EVERY OCCASION in the Power of the Holy Spirit. Stay Alert and be Persistent in your Prayers for ALL Christians everywhere. And Pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the RIGHT WORDS so I can BOLDLY explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike. I am in chains now, still Preaching this Message as God’s Ambassador. So Pray that I will keep on speaking BOLDLY for HIM, as I should.
Philippians 1:21-24 For to me, living is for Christ, and dying is even better. Yet if I live, that means fruitful service for Christ. I really don't know which is better. I'm torn between two desires: Sometimes I want to live, and sometimes I long to go and be with Christ. That would be far better for me, but it is better for you that I live.
Philippians 2:5-11 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Phil 2:12-30 WORK HARD to show the results of your Salvation, OBEYING GOD with DEEP REVERENCE and FEAR. (Work out your Salvation with Fear and Trembling) For GOD IS WORKING IN YOU, giving you the DESIRE AND POWER TO DO WHAT PLEASES HIM. Do EVERYTHING without COMPLAINING and ARGUING, so that know one can criticize you. Live CLEAN, INNOCENT LIVES AS CHILDREN OF GOD, shining like BRIGHT LIGHTS in a world FULL of CROOKED AND PERVERSE PEOPLE. Hold FIRMLY to the WORD OF LIFE...
Philippians 3:13-14 I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven.
Philippians 3:18-21 For I have told you often before, and I say it again with tears in my eyes, that there are many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Christ. Their future is eternal destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and all they think about is this life here on earth. But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. He will take these weak mortal bodies of ours and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same mighty power that he will use to conquer everything, everywhere.
Philippians 4:6 Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
Philippians 4:8 Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
Philippians 4:13 For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need.
Colossians 1:28 So everywhere we go, we tell everyone about Christ. We warn them and teach them with all the wisdom God has given us, for we want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ.
Colossians 2:8 Don't let anyone lead you astray with empty philosophy and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the evil powers of this world, and not from Christ.
Colossians 2:14 He canceled the record that contained the charges against us. He took it and destroyed it by nailing it to Christ's cross.
Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of the Lord Jesus, all the while giving thanks through him to God the Father.
Colossians 4:2-6; 17 Devote yourselves to Prayer with an Alert Mind and a Thankful Heart. Pray for us, too, that God will give us many OPPORTUNITIES to speak about his Mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains. Pray that I will Proclaim this Message as clearly as I should. Live wisely among those who are not Believers, and make the most of EVERY OPPORTUNITY. Let your Conversation be Gracious and Attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone....(17) “Be sure to carry out the Ministry the Lord gave you.”
1 Thessalonians 3:10 Night and day we pray earnestly for you, asking God to let us see you again to fill up anything that may still be missing in your faith.
2 Thessalonians 3:1-5
Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we ask you to pray for us. Pray that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you. Pray, too, that we will be rescued from wicked and evil people, for not everyone is a Believer. But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. And we are confident in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we commanded you. May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.
1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 - THE RAPTURE - I can tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not rise to meet him ahead of those who are in their graves. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, all the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever. So comfort and encourage each other with these words.
1 Thessalonians 5:2-11 - THE RAPTURE - For you know quite well that the day of the Lord will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. When people are saying, "All is well; everything is peaceful and secure," then disaster will fall upon them as suddenly as a woman's birth pains begin when her child is about to be born. And there will be no escape. But you aren't in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won't be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief. For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don't belong to darkness and night. So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be sober. Night is the time for sleep and the time when people get drunk. But let us who live in the light think clearly, protected by the body armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation. For God decided to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us. He died for us so that we can live with him forever, whether we are dead or alive at the time of his return. So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Always be Joyful. Keep on praying. No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
2 Thessalonians 1:7-10 And God will provide rest for you who are being persecuted and also for us when the Lord Jesus appears from Heaven. He will come with His Mighty Angels, in Flaming Fire, bringing Judgment on those who don't know God and on those who refuse to OBEY the Good News of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction, forever separated from the Lord and from His Glorious Power when He comes to receive Glory and Praise from His Holy People. And you will be among those Praising Him on that day, for you believed what we testified about Him.
2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 So we keep on Praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life Worthy of His Call. May He give you the Power to accomplish all the Good Things your Faith prompts you to do. Then the Name of our Lord Jesus will be Honored because of the way you live, and you will be Honored along with Him. This is all made possible because of the Grace of our God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Timothy 1:8-9 But we know that the Law (God's 10 Commandments) is good, if one uses it lawfully, realizing the fact that law is not made for a Righteous person, but for those who are Lawless and Rebellious, for the Ungodly and Sinners, for the Unholy and Profane.
1 Timothy 1:19 Cling tightly to your faith in Christ, and always keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 Pray for all people. Ask God to help them (Plead for God's Mercy); intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.
1 Timothy 2:5 There is only ONE God and ONE Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.
1 Timothy 6:3-9 If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment. For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either. If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content. 9 But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction.
1 Timothy 6:10 For the Love of Money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
2 Timothy 2:3-4 Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. And as Christ's soldier, do not let yourself become tied up in the affairs of this life, for then you cannot satisfy the one who has enlisted you in his army.
2 Timothy 2:12 If we endure hardship, we will reign with him. If we deny him, he will deny us.
2 Timothy 2:15 Work hard so God can approve you. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:22 Run from anything that stimulates youthful lust. Follow anything that makes you want to do right. Pursue faith and love and peace, and enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.
2 Timothy 2:24-25 The Lord's servants must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone. They must be able to teach effectively and be patient with difficult people. They should gently teach those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people's hearts, and they will believe the truth.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 You should also know this, Timothy, that in the Last Days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control; they will be cruel and have no interest in what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act as if they are religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. You must stay away from people like that.
2 Timothy 3:12 Everyone who wants to live a Godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer Persecution.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right.
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the Word of God. Be persistent, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.
2 Timothy 4:3-5 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to right teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever they want to hear. They will reject the truth and follow strange myths. But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don't be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at bringing others to Christ. Complete the ministry God has given you.
Titus 2:11-14 For the Grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with self-control, right conduct, and devotion to God, while we look forward to that wonderful event when the Glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing what is right.
Hebrews 3:13 You must warn each other every day, as long as it is called "today," so that none of you will be Deceived by Sin and Hardened against God.
Hebrews 4:12-16 For the Word of God is full of living power. It is sharper (than any two-edged sword) than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are. Nothing in all creation can hide from him. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes. This is the God to whom we must explain all that we have done. That is why we have a great High Priest who has gone to heaven, Jesus the Son of God. Let us cling to him and never stop trusting him. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same temptations we do, yet he did not sin.
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it.
Hebrews 5:7 While Jesus was here on earth, he offered prayers and pleadings, with a loud cry and tears, to the one who could deliver him out of death. And God heard his prayers because of his reverence for God.
Hebrews 6:1-8 For it is impossible to bring back to Repentance those who were once enlightened—those who have experienced the Good things of Heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the Goodness of the Word of God and the Power of the age to come— and who then Turn Away From God. It is impossible to bring such people back to Repentance; by Rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the Cross once again and holding him up to public shame. When the ground soaks up the falling rain and bears a Good Crop for the Farmer, it has God’s Blessing. But if a Field bears Thorns and Thistles (Thorny Ground Hearer), it is useless. The Farmer will soon condemn that field and burn it.
Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for Him and how you have shown your love to Him by caring for other believers, as you still do.
Hebrews 9:22 Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins.
Hebrews 9:27 It is Appointed for men to die once, but after this the Judgment...
Hebrews 9:28 So also Christ died once for all time as a Sacrifice to take away the Sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring Salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for Him.
Hebrews 10:16 I will put my Laws (10 Commandments) in their Hearts so they will understand them…I will write them on their Mind so they will Obey them.
Hebrews 10:24 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.
Hebrews 10:25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.
Hebrews 10:26-31 If we DELIBERATELY CONTINUE SINNING after we have received KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH, there is no longer any Sacrifice that will cover these Sins. There is only the terrible expectation of God’s Judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies. For anyone who refused to Obey the Law of Moses (Old Testament People) was put to death without Mercy on the Testimony of two or three witnesses. Just think how much WORSE THE PUNISHMENT will be for those (New Testament people) who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the Blood of the Covenant, which made us Holy, as if it were Common and Unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s Mercy to us. For we know the one who said, “I will take revenge. I will pay them back.” He also said, “The Lord will judge his own people.” It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Hebrews 10:32-38 Think back on those early days when you first learned about Christ. Remember how you remained faithful even though it meant terrible suffering. Sometimes you were exposed to public ridicule and were beaten, and sometimes you helped others who were suffering the same things. You suffered along with those who were thrown into jail. When all you owned was taken from you, you accepted it with joy. You knew you had better things waiting for you in eternity. Do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord, no matter what happens. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. "For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay. And a righteous person will live by faith. But I will have no pleasure in anyone who turns away.
Hebrews 11:6-7 it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that there is a God and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. It was by faith that Noah built an ark to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about something that had never happened before. By his faith he condemned the rest of the world and was made right in God's sight.
Hebrews 11:24-26 It was by faith that Moses, when he grew up, refused to be treated as the son of Pharaoh's daughter. He chose to share the oppression of God's people instead of enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sin. He thought it was better to suffer for the sake of the Messiah than to own the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking ahead to the great reward that God would give him.
Hebrews 12:2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from start to finish. He was willing to die a shameful death on the cross because of the joy he knew would be his afterward. Now he is seated in the place of highest honor beside God's throne in heaven.
Hebrews 12:14 Work at living in Peace with everyone, and work at living a Holy Life, for those who are not Holy will not see the Lord. (NIV says, "Without Holiness no one will see the Lord.")
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same Yesterday, Today, and Forever.
Hebrews 13:14 For this World is not our home; we are looking forward to our City in Heaven, which is yet to come.
Hebrews 13:15-16 With Jesus' help, let us continually offer our sacrifice of praise to God by proclaiming the glory of his name. Don't forget to do good and to share what you have with those in need, for such sacrifices are very pleasing to God.
James 1:2-4 When troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
James 1:12 God blesses the people who patiently endure testing. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
James 1:19 Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.
James 2:18 Now someone may argue, "Some people have faith; others have good deeds." I say, "I can't see your faith if you don't have good deeds, but I will show you my faith through my good deeds.
James 2:20 Fool! When will you ever learn that faith that does not result in good deeds is useless?
James 2:26 Faith is dead without good deeds.
James 3:15-16 For jealousy and selfishness are not God's kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and motivated by the Devil. For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and every kind of evil.
James 4:4 You adulterers! Don't you realize that friendship with this world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again, that if your aim is to enjoy this world, you can't be a friend of God.
James 4:6-10 He gives us more and more strength to stand against such evil desires. As the Scriptures say, "God sets Himself against the proud, but He shows favor to the Humble." So humble yourselves before God. Resist the Devil, and he will flee from you. Draw close to God, and God will Draw close to you. Wash your hands, you Sinners; Purify your Hearts, you Hypocrites (Double-minded). Let there be Tears for the Wrong Things you have Done. Let there be Sorrow and Deep Grief. Let there be Sadness instead of Laughter, and Gloom instead of Joy. When you bow down before the Lord and Admit your Dependence on Him, He will Lift you up and give you Honor.
James 5:16 Confess your Sins to each other and Pray for each other so that you may be Healed. The Earnest (fervent) Prayer of a Righteous person has great power and wonderful results.
1 Peter 1:3-6 All honor to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for it is by his boundless mercy that God has given us the privilege of being Born Again. Now we live with a wonderful expectation because Jesus Christ rose again from the dead. For God has reserved a priceless inheritance for his children. It is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. And God, in his mighty power, will protect you until you receive this salvation, because you are trusting him. It will be revealed on the last day for all to see. So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while.
1 Peter 1:7 These Trials are only to Test your Faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being Tested as Fire Tests and purifies gold—and your Faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your Faith remains strong after being tried by Fiery Trials, it will bring you much Praise and Glory and Honor on the Day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the Whole World.
1 Peter 1:14-16 So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am Holy.
1 Peter 1:22-25 Now you can have sincere love for each other as brothers and sisters because you were cleansed from your sins when you accepted the truth of the Good News. So see to it that you really do love each other intensely with all your hearts. For you have been Born Again. Your New Life did not come from your earthly parents because the life they gave you will end in death. But this New Life will last forever because it comes from the Eternal, Living Word of God. As the prophet says, "People are like grass that dies away; their beauty fades as quickly as the beauty of wildflowers. The grass withers, and the flowers fall away. But the word of the Lord will last forever." And that Word is the Good News that was preached to you.
1 Peter 2:11-12 You are foreigners and aliens here. So I warn you to keep away from evil desires because they fight against your very souls. Be careful how you live among your unbelieving neighbors. Even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will believe and give honor to God when he comes to judge the world.
1 Peter 2:19 For God is pleased with you when, for the sake of your conscience, you patiently endure unfair treatment.
1 Peter 2:21 This suffering is all part of what God has called you to. Christ, who suffered for you, is your example. Follow in his steps.
1 Peter 2:22-25 He (Jesus) never sinned, and he never deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when he was insulted. When he suffered, he did not threaten to get even. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. He personally carried away our sins in his own body on the cross so we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. You have been healed by his wounds! Once you were wandering like lost sheep. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls.
1 Peter 3:22 Now Christ has gone to heaven. He is seated in the place of honor next to God, and all the angels and authorities and powers are bowing before him.
1 Peter 4:1 So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you are willing to suffer for Christ, you have decided to stop sinning.
1 Peter 4:12-13 Don't be surprised at the fiery Trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. Instead, be very glad—because these trials will make you partners with Christ in his suffering, and afterward you will have the wonderful joy of sharing his glory when it is displayed to all the world.
1 Peter 5:6-9 So Humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and in his good time he will honor you. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about what happens to you. Be careful! Watch out for attacks from the Devil, your great enemy. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for some victim to devour. Take a firm stand against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.
2 Peter 1:5-11 So make every effort to apply the benefits of these promises to your life. Then your faith will produce a life of moral excellence. A life of moral excellence leads to knowing God better. Knowing God leads to self-control. Self-control leads to patient endurance, and patient endurance leads to godliness. Godliness leads to love for other Christians, and finally you will grow to have genuine love for everyone. The more you grow like this, the more you will become productive and useful in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But those who fail to develop these virtues are blind or, at least, very shortsighted. They have already forgotten that God has cleansed them from their old life of sin. So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Doing this, you will never stumble or fall away. And God will open wide the gates of heaven for you to enter into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 2:4 For God did not spare even the angels when they sinned; he threw them into hell, in gloomy caves and darkness until the Judgment Day.
2 Peter 2:5-9 And God did not spare the ancient world—except for Noah and his family of seven. Noah warned the world of God's righteous judgment. Then God destroyed the whole World of ungodly people with a vast flood. Later, he turned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into heaps of ashes and swept them off the face of the earth. He made them an example of what will happen to ungodly people. But at the same time, God rescued Lot out of Sodom because he was a good man who was sick of all the immorality and wickedness around him. Yes, he was a righteous man who was distressed by the wickedness he saw and heard day after day. So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while punishing the wicked right up until the day of judgment. And God did not spare the ancient world—except for Noah and his family of seven. Noah warned the world of God's righteous judgment. Then God destroyed the whole world of ungodly people with a vast flood.
2 Peter 3:3-13 In the Last Days there will be scoffers who will laugh at the truth and do every evil thing they desire. This will be their argument: "Jesus promised to come back, did he? Then where is he? Why, as far back as anyone can remember, everything has remained exactly the same since the world was first created." They deliberately forget that God made the heavens by the word of His command, and He brought the earth up from the water and surrounded it with water. Then He used the water to destroy the world with a mighty flood. And God has also commanded that the heavens and the earth will be consumed by fire on the day of judgment, when ungodly people will perish. But you must not forget, dear friends, that a day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn't really being slow about his promise to return, as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to perish, so He is giving more time for everyone to repent. But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and everything in them will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be exposed to judgment. Since everything around us is going to melt away, what holy, godly lives you should be living! You should look forward to that day and hurry it along—the day when God will set the heavens on fire and the elements will melt away in the flames. But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world where everyone is right with God.
1 Peter 3:18-20 Christ also suffered when he died for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners that he might bring us safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit. So he went and preached to the spirits in prison— those who disobeyed God long ago when God waited patiently while Noah was building his boat. Only eight people were saved from drowning in that terrible flood.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 2:1 I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if you do sin, there is someone to plead for you before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who pleases God completely.
1 John 2:3-6 And how can we be sure that we belong to him? By Obeying His Commandments. If someone says, "I belong to God," but doesn't obey God's commandments, that person is a liar and does not live in the truth. But those who obey God's word really do love him. That is the way to know whether or not we live in him. Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Christ did.
1 John 2:15-18 Stop loving this evil world and all that it offers you, for when you love the world, you show that you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only the lust for physical pleasure, the lust for everything we see, and pride in our possessions. These are not from the Father. They are from this evil world. And this world is fading away, along with everything it craves. But if you do the will of God, you will live forever. Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrists have appeared. From this we know that the end of the world has come.
1 John 3:6-10 So if we continue to live in him, we won't sin either. But those who keep on sinning have never known him or understood who he is. Dear children, don't let anyone deceive you about this: When people do what is right, it is because they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous. But when people keep on sinning, it shows they belong to the Devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy these works of the Devil. Those who have been born into God's family do not sin, because God's life is in them. So they can't keep on sinning, because they have been born of God. So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the Devil. Anyone who does not obey God's commands and does not love other Christians does not belong to God.
1 John 3:21-22 If our conscience is clear, we can come to God with bold confidence. And we will receive whatever we request because we obey him and do the things that please him.
1 John 4:4 Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
1 John 4:7-8 Let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is born of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God—for God is love.
1 John 4:17 And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of Judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we are like Christ here in this World.
1 John 4:18 Such love has no fear because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of Judgment, and this shows that his love has not been perfected in us.
1 John 5:3-5 Loving God means keeping his Commandments, and really, that isn't difficult. For every Child of God defeats this evil world by trusting Christ to give the victory. And the ones who win this battle against the World are the ones who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
1 John 5:13-15 I write this to you who believe in the Son of God, so that you may know you have Eternal Life. And we can be confident that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will. And if we know he is listening when we make our requests, we can be sure that he will give us what we ask for.
2 John 1:8 Watch out, so that you do not lose the prize for which we have been working so hard. Be diligent so that you will receive your full reward.
3 John 1:11 Follow only what is good. Remember that those who do good prove that they are God's children, and those who do evil prove that they do not know God.
Jude 1:3 I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the Salvation we all share. But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the truth of the Good News. God gave this unchanging truth once for all time to his holy people.
Jude 1:7 And don't forget the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns, which were filled with sexual immorality and every kind of sexual perversion. Those cities were destroyed by fire and are a warning of the eternal fire that will punish all who are evil.
Jude 1:14-15 Look, the Lord is coming with thousands of his Holy ones. He will bring the people of the world to Judgment. He will convict the ungodly of all the evil things they have done in rebellion and of all the insults that godless sinners have spoken against him.
Jude 1:22-23 Show mercy to those whose faith is wavering. Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. There are still others to whom you need to show mercy, but be careful that you aren't contaminated by their sins.
Revelation 1:3 God blesses the one who reads this Prophecy (Book of Revelation) to the Church, and he blesses all who listen to it and obey what it says. For the time is near when these things will happen.
Revelation 2:2 Jesus says, "I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance. I know you don't tolerate evil people. You have examined the claims of those who say they are apostles but are not. You have discovered they are liars."
Revelation 2:4-5 Jesus says, "But I have this complaint against you. You don't love me or each other as you did at first! Look how far you have fallen from your first love! Turn back to me again and work as you did at first. If you don't, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place among the churches."
Revelation 2:7 Jesus says, "Everyone who is victorious will eat from the tree of life in the paradise of God."
Revelation 2:11 Jesus says, "Whoever is victorious will not be hurt by the second death."
Revelation 2:17 Jesus says, "Anyone who is willing to hear should listen to the Spirit and understand what the Spirit is saying to the churches. Everyone who is victorious will eat of the manna that has been hidden away in heaven. And I will give to each one a white stone, and on the stone will be engraved a new name that no one knows except the one who receives it."
Revelation 2:26 Jesus says, "To all who are victorious, who Obey Me to the very end, I will give Authority over all the nations."
Revelation 3:1-3 Jesus says, “I know all the things you do, and that you have a Reputation for being Alive—but you are Dead. WAKE UP! Strengthen what little remains, for even what is left is almost Dead....Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly. REPENT & TURN TO ME AGAIN. If you don’t WAKE UP, I will come to you suddenly, as unexpected as a Thief."
Revelation 3:5 Jesus says, "All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine."
Revelation 3:12 Jesus says, "All who are victorious will become pillars in the Temple of my God, and they will never have to leave it. And I will write my God's name on them, and they will be citizens in the city of my God—the new Jerusalem that comes down from heaven from my God. And they will have my new name inscribed upon them."
Revelation 3:15-19 Jesus says, "I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, I will spit you out of my mouth! You say, `I am rich. I have everything I want. I don't need a thing!' And you don't realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. And also buy white garments so you will not be shamed by your nakedness. And buy ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. I am the one who corrects and disciplines everyone I love. Be diligent and turn from your indifference."
Revelation 3:20-21 Jesus says, "Look! Here I stand at the door and knock. If you hear me calling and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal as friends. I will invite everyone who is victorious to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne."
Revelation 4:11 You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive Glory and Honor and Power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.
Revelation 12:9 The great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the Whole World.
Revelation 14:9-11 Then a third angel followed them, shouting, "Anyone who worships the beast and his statue or who accepts his mark on the forehead or the hand must drink the wine of God's wrath. It is poured out undiluted into God's cup of wrath. And they will be tormented with fire and burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the Lamb. The smoke of their torment rises forever and ever, and they will have no relief day or night, for they have worshiped the beast and his statue and have accepted the mark of his name.
Revelation 14:12 Let this encourage God's HOLY PEOPLE to endure persecution patiently and remain firm to the end, OBEYING HIS COMMANDS and TRUSTING IN JESUS.
Revelation 20:11-15 And I saw a Great White Throne, and I saw the one who was sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide. I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God's throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to the things written in the books, according to what they had done. The sea gave up the dead in it, and death and the grave gave up the dead in them. They were all judged according to their deeds. And death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death—the lake of fire. And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the Lake of Fire.
Revelation 21:4 He (God) will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.
Revelation 21:7-8 All who are Victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children. But cowards who turn away from me, and unbelievers, and the corrupt, and murderers, and the immoral, and those who practice witchcraft, and idol worshipers, and all liars—their doom is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death.
Revelation 21:27 Nothing impure will ever (enter Heaven) enter it, nor will anyone who does what is Shameful or Deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
Revelation 22:3-5 No longer will anything be cursed. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads. And there will be no night there—no need for lamps or sun—for the Lord God will shine on them. And they will reign forever and ever.
Revelation 22:7 Jesus says, “Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who Obey the Words of Prophecy written in this Book.”

Revelation 22:12-15 Jesus says, "See, I am coming soon, and my reward is with me, to repay all according to their deeds. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." Blessed are those who wash their robes so they can enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit from the tree of life. Outside the city are the dogs—the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie.
Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come." Let each one who hears them say, "Come." Let the thirsty ones come—anyone who wants to. Let them come and drink the water of life without charge.
Revelation 22:18-19 And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the Prophetic words of this Book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this Book. And if anyone removes any of the words of this Prophetic Book, God will remove that person's share in the Tree of Life and in the Holy City that are described in this Book.
Revelation 22:20-21 He who is the faithful witness to all these things says (Jesus says), "Yes, I am coming soon!" Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all.
